New Oceanica Staff

We are pleased to announce that Ashty Saleem and Anthony Sokol are joining Oceanica. Ashty has a post-graduate diploma in surveying and mapping, and is completing a Masters in Geospatial Science.  Ashty will be joining the GIS team and has a particular interest in remote sensing.  Anthony has recently graduated from marine science at UWA, and also holds ADAS Part 1 qualifications.

Port Hedland and Dampier Salt Field Monitoring

Oceanica have recently been appointed as the environmental consultant for the Rio-Tinto-Dampier Salt Limited (DSL)  Port Hedland and Dampier Salt Field operations. The work will focus on issues relating to bitterns discharge and mangrove health. The project team includes Biota Environmental Sciences (providing expertise in relation to mangroves) and Asia Pacific Applied Sciences (providing numerical modelling and related expertise).

   

Alvin Wang joins Oceanica

We are pleased to announce that Alvin Wang will be joining Oceanica as full-time bookkeeper.  Alvin completed a B.Com in 2008 with a major in accounting at Curtin University.  In addition to his hands-on experience in accounts and record keeping his studies provide him with solid accounting and administrative knowledge.  Alvin also has a strong interest in IT and has undertaken freelance web design as a hobby after hours.

   

GOOD HEART: Mid-west Aboriginal Art Exhibition 2010

Oceanica are proud sponsors of the GOOD HEART Mid-west Aboriginal Art Exhibition 2010.  The exhibition is hosted by Oakajee Port and Rail, and is a community-based project which showcases 120 pieces of contemporary and traditional Indigenous art.

The exhibition will be held 10 am - 4 pm daily, from Monday 14 June to Friday 18 June, in the QV1 Foyer, 250 St Georges Tce, Perth. All artwork is available for purchase.
