New Administration Assistant to join Oceanica

We are pleased to announce that Lily Pass will be joining us on 23 April 2012. She will be the friendly voice you’ll hear on the phone when you call.

Lily completed her Certificate III in Financial Services at West Coast Tafe in 2009.

   

New finances assistant to join Oceanica next week

We are pleased to announce Jimsee Batmandakh will be joining us on 10 April.  Jimsee completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting & Banking at Curtin University in 2011 and has previous experience in accounts and payroll having worked as a trainee accountant in her country of origin Mongolia.

   

David Rivers takes up a permanent role at Oceanica

We are pleased to welcome David Rivers to a permanent position at Oceanica after a period of working for us as a casual employee.  David has recently completed his PhD at UWA in colonization and recovery in seagrass ecosystems. He has strong statistical analysis skills and has been working with others at Oceanica to further improve statistical methods for detecting environmental impacts.  David also has an MSc from the University of New Hampshire, USA in marine ecology and he is qualified as an Occupational Diver under AS2815.1.

   

Dr Martin Lourey joins Oceanica

We are pleased to welcome Dr Martin (Marty) Lourey to Oceanica in the role of Senior Water Quality Scientist.  Marty has approximately 17 years experience in the fields of marine biogeochemistry and marine water quality.  He has spent the past seven years as a research scientist at CSIRO Floreat where he has been investigating the effects of nutrients on the marine environment, the processes that control nutrient distribution and the linkages between nutrients and benthic primary production.  Marty will take on an important role at Oceanica by providing clients with further high level expertise in the monitoring and management of marine water quality issues as well as mentoring other Oceanica scientists.
